Build quality is a fickle mistress.. 10 years ago you probably could have said Toyota with no compunctions. Now-a-days, you probably would be hard pressed to distinguish between the three with regard to initial quality. If you're interested in a get-around-town truck that will haul the occasional bag of dogfood, it makes absolutely no difference. Here are where each of them excel:
Chevrolet has the best fuel economy of the three. The Active Fuel Management shuts down four cylinders of the V-8 5.3 L engine at part-throttle, allowing your V-8 to effectively be a V-4. Chevys also have a fully boxed frame. The 2007 model was a newly designed truck, and with it came a frame less apt to "beaming", which is an NVH problem. (noise vibration harshness) Chevys have a pretty good selection of engines, from a V-6 w/t model all the way to the big dog 6.0L Duramax Diesel. (500+ Lb Ft of torque from the factory)
Ford makes a decent truck, too. Their pickups have less traditonal engines. They've gone to overhead cam engines, which allows the engine to rev higher. While that's great for cars, it's less great for trucks in my mind. They have cam phasers that allow the valve timing to change based on engine load, which improves the efficiency of the engine, but not as much as the Chevy engine.
Toyota's styling is nice, but their traditional selling point on vehicles has been fuel efficiency. Unfortunately for them, of all three they have the worst efficiency. They don't offer any diesels in case you need to tow a heavy load, and they are bigger, heavier, and underpowered for their weight.
It's your decision to make, but if it was me, I'd buy a Chevrolet. I like their economy, since I'm not a millionere, and gas is frickin' expensive.

GMC is the best I just got an 07 new style work truck with the 4.8 V8, and its very nice for the base model. I just loaded it up today with 3 small block chevys and 2 transmissions, and it didn't feel the weight. Plus I usually get 19-21 mpg with the A/C on all the time.

2007 Motor Trend Truck of the Yearâ¢
Here's just a little of what Motor Trend had to say:
"A long week of testing served to satisfy our judges that the new GM full-size pickups had earned top marks on the superiority front..." "Our judges were impressed with the Silverado's composure when loaded. The truck didn't ride down on its bump stops, and while the front end felt a bit lighter, there was no loss of control." "The interior design is even more impressive than the sheetmetal... The seats (front and back) offer great support..." "There truly is a truck for every purse and purpose from the entry-level construction worker's no-frills V-6 work truck to the fully loaded limo version his big-boss will drive to the building's gala grand opening."

the ford does.
www.truthabouttrucks.com
check it out!
stronger frame--- fully boxxed ladder style, unlike chevy's c-channel or toyota's '3-in-1' set up
better ride than the others (toyota tore down an f-150 to design their truck)
more out there with 250k than any other 1/2 ton truck.
hands down, the f-150 is the best truck out there.
that said, the chevy is a good truck and so is the toyota. however, the ford is a great truck.

That's a matter of opinion, Although a Chevy is more generally cheaper and easier to fix. A Ford is built stronger in the first place, they kind of slipped there in the rugged dept for a while but there rite back up there again.

I used to be a die-hard Chevy fan, but seems that their creature comforts have gotten cheep and have a short life span. Ford has won me over. Back in the late eighties Ford's slogan was "quality is job one" and they meant it.
