I've come to the conclusion that war in iraq isn;t about terrorism or oil. neither theory really makes sense for reasons I don't feel like wasting time going into (I'm sure you know the arguements) What I think Is Bush in fact is not a moron and the war is going EXACTLY the way he wanted it too. Thnk about it, a couple of thousand of American soldiers have died, but hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died. I think Bush's major plan was to turn the muslims agianst each other. They may hate us, but it seems they hate each other more. This was in check before the war in Iraq, you didn't see Muslims killing each other much, but now it happens every day. They seem more intent on killing each other then on attacking us. So maybe Bush isn't dumb, maybe he's really a genius who has decided to turn the Muslims against each other. There's really no proof of this just a theory, but it fits.

It amazes me that some people are so stupid they still think that Iraq had anything to do with attacking us or terrorist., it saddens me that these people can vote.

There has been fighting in the middle east forever, but LATELY it's either been one sided (Saddam's genocide) or Muslim against other religion, since Saddam was kicked out of Kuwait (another one sided battle) it has been mostly Muslim on non-muslim violence. I'm not saying this is true, but it fits more than the robots who spout the war on terror excuse.

I think the war is all about putting money in the pockets of the defense contractors (Halliburton, etc.).
And creating a distraction to draw attention away from the conservatives abysmal domestic policies.
The wealthy have decided they no longer need an American workforce because they can be overlords to people around the world who will work for next to nothing. Earning thousands or tens of thousands times what their employees ear is no longer enough for CEOs. They want to "earn" hundreds of thousands of times what their employees earn. It's modern day feudalism.

Sorry. No matter how you dice it or slice it, Bush is still a moron. The ethnic tensions in Iraq have been there for a long time. It's one of the reasons that the British took so long to pull out of the country (40 years); they knew that if they did pull out without having some sort of stable government in place, the country would fall apart and you would get what you have now. Bush and his neocon chickenhawk buddies could have predicted this outcome had they simply bothered to read some history books or even just talked to the British.
No sane person would want to make the Middle East even more unstable. Even an evil little man like Bush wants stability over there, if for no other reason than to ensure a steady supply of oil.

I don't agree. I think there was an interest in securing Iraqi oil for the free market. There was some evidence that al Queda was getting help from Saddam (since discovered to be false), and there was some interest in nation building to create a democracy in the middle east out of the rubble of an Arab dicatorship.

IRAQ WAS A THREAT!!!!!!
(CNN) -- 2004 -- Former President Clinton has revealed that he continues to support President Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq but chastised the administration over the abuses at Abu Ghraib prison.

"People can quarrel with whether we should have more troops in Afghanistan or internationalize Iraq or whatever, but it is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons."

You are wrong.
Before Bush invaded Iraq, he stated that he would invade Iraq to avenge the attempt on his father's life by Saddam Hussein.

I think you either have way too much time on your hands or you need a hobby. The President is doing exactly what he said he would do after 9-11, go after the terrorists wherever they are, and after who ever harbors them.
