Moral is good thing but moral policing is bad-bad thing. People rioting on the name of moral policing is very-very bad things. Where is their moral when they destroy public property on the name of moral?

I would say it discourages foreign investors from investing in India.

The reasoning is obviously topsyturvy.I don't think scientists and doctors migarte for want of sex and cheap entertaiment.I also don't think that a country should make money by converting its women to sex workers and taxing them.I think even pimps will have more respectful views.Every country has its moral policing.I don't want to create a controversy.Keep a close look with wide eyes and open mind you will see
it.This is necessary to protect not only its culture civilasation and also weaker sex.
Earlier temple dancers were considered bad.they were banned.Today we want open naked dances in bars and clubs in the name of modernity.What is modern in woman's anotomy these days Same every where since Adam and eve.
The thinking is changing and greed of men is increasung.To achieve cheap goals some hide behind the name of democracy.Democracy has responsibilities.
How many are really discharging their duties.
Economy depends on brains not on sex and muscle power.Leave it to wiser men.So far they are doing their job well without sex trade.If foreigners dont want to visit India because sex is not on free sale here they are the loosers.

It could have a devastating impact by speeding up the Brain Drain. Closing the Dance Clubs will not only destroy thousands of jobs directly, but all of the jobs that depend on the incomes of those workers.

More importantly, it will cause more Engineers, high tech and Healthcare workers to emigrate. And many of those industries, including the outsourced customer service departments from North America and Europe could easily be moved to Durban, South Africa to accomodate those highly skilled and educated workers.

If you wanted to keep people compliant with cultural and religious laws, you shouldn't have opened so many Universities. Educated people with valuable skills tend to resist attempts to turn the clock back a century or two,

What is the connexion between moral policing and the nation's economy?They are poles apart.Therefore the question of either one having a negative impact on the other does not arise.

Any kind of policing unless it violates others' freedom is BAD in every sense including economic.

One example: Sex is human need. If a country has a developed and mature sex industry then everyone: citizens (in form of entertainment), government (in form of tax), and business (as revenue) get benefited by it. Moral policing is like licensing which strangles the growth.

Moral policing in positive sense is good. But in the name of it, people taking law in to their hands and creating chaos in public life is not good. When in the extreme, it creates severe law and order problems which affect contries economy and growth.

Moral policing in positive sense is good. But in the name of it, people taking law in to their hands and creating chaos in public life is not good. When in the extreme, it creates severe law and order problems which affect contries economy and growth. In democracy, there is a specific way of showing their displeasure or protest without causing inconveience to others. Let the so called moral police adapt that peaceful route of expressing their displeasure.

It will, definately, have adverse effect. In emerging market like India the cost of moral policing will inflate the cost of product which in effect will be uncompetitive in global market
