Thanks to all the positive feedback from you guys, Kaylen Rebecca is definitely in the running for my baby girl. But I was also really in love with Shana (pronounced shay-na), middle name Lynne (pronounced lin).
Shana Lynne. Feel free to comment.
Sturdy or sweet?
Can she grow up with it?
Old or trendy?
Thanks so much!

I really like Shana Lynne. I tried saying it out loud and it sounds so terrific. I like to go with names that are not very common and have a very nice meaning. My parents gave me an Arabic name and whenever people say my name I know that they are referring to me and no one has to call me a "Kevin S" or a "Mary T". Whatever you decide to name your baby girl, she will always be your daughter no matter what. But Shana Lynne is definitely a cool and SWEET name!

Just my opinion but I'm starting to despise the name Lynn just because it's used soooo much as a middle name. I'm also not crazy about Shana at all. I really like Kaylen Rebecca. It's a really pretty name combo!

I also really like Claire! I have a friend named Claire Alexandra.

Shana Lynne sounds very country to me and not in a good way. I don't care for Kaylen much more though. Maybe Rebecca Lynn ?

I like both names. I work in an elementary school and I can honestly say we've had neither of those names come through in the time I've been here. If she aspires to be an executive, business professional or powerful political figure, Kaylen might look better on a legal document or official proclamation. Just a thought. The important thing - enjoy her and love her!

You could always do Kaylen Renee to combine you and your husbands favorites. Just a thought :)

As for Shana...you would and she would, be better off with the spelling of Shayna or Shaena.

Trendy
I like Shayna Lynn, I would spell it Shayna.
U Shayna Lynn better than Kaylen Rebecca.

I would go with Shayna Lynn

I'd say that Shana Lynne sounds sweet. I don't think it sounds either old or trendy. Just pretty. The only thing is that is may get mispronounced as "Shah-nah," but if that doesn't bother you, then go for it!

if you name her shana linn kids will call her chandalier and kaylen rebecca kids will say killing rebecca something stupid like that. Both names are beautiful but you might want to think what it will do to your child in school.
