No, as genetic evidence has already found that Neanderthals were a different species. Human variation easily accounts for the size of NFL players. They are still genetically the same species as the rest of us. Homo sapiens sapiens (italized).

Do you mean homo erectus or homo sapiens?

The evidence against neanderthals interbreeding with modern humans goes something like this:

Neanderthals hips are hinged differently from ours, which provide a wider birth canal, which is necessary if babies are born with huge thick bodies so they can survive the cold. And if the birth weights are up, the gestation period has to be longer and that means the DNA is very different and possibly prevents interbreeding.

No. Homo Erectus had died out before Neanderthals evovled. Some sientists do beleive that Homo Sapein (anceint human) MIGHT have interbred with Homo neanderthalensis there is no proof of this though. Homo Sapein Sapien evloved from Homo Sapein.

i know ther's lots of evidence to say that the answer is no, but i think it's true because off alll the men i kno that are big, built and hav the really protruding bone in their foreheads, and look at all the "extinct" species scientist are now finding, Neanderthals are just another one that they don't want to admit to yet

Those huge NFL players are the same as us they simply worked hard to get as big as they are.

actually, neandertals werent quite as tall as H. sapiens, they were shorter with broader bodies, more sturdy limbs and different skulls...

but no, it isnt evidence that Homo sapiens interbred with neandertals, no more than horse jockeys are evidence that we interbred with midgets.. lol... its all part of human variation
