ok i don't know what the movie is called but if i describe one scene can you help me. ok i know it's a fantasy type and in one part theres a guy on a boat with an old elf type person i think and all of sudden the boat rocks and starts to come up out of the water when it does it is on a giant mans head who looks really mean and they try to kill him by beating and stabbing his head. and another scene i vaguely remember is when he's walking on the beach he bumps into a wall that looks like the other side of the beach he breaks it and it's a dark room what is that movie??? i was like 9 when i saw it.

It sounds vaguely like Time Bandits but that is about a little boy and a buch of little people. The scene with the boat on the giant man head is straight from the movie as is the bursting through the wall into a dark room.

I was thinking Truman Show. Especially, when you described the wall, of which was a darkroom on the other side of it. That came out in the late '90s, I thought.
