Doesn't she know her place? She should be happy she has a place to live and a fine man like you to take care of her.

Next time she whines, push a mop into her face and tell her to get busy, it always works when my husband does it to me. I know my place now.

Good luck.

Women do not have woman's work. If you were living alone, wouldn't all of your home chores be your responsibility. Did you know it is a form of abuse for a husband to stop his wife from working. It is considered as a form of isolation. It will stand up in court. You and your wife may be united in marriage but you are still two separate individuals with wants and needs. You will not always see eye to eye on issues but you have promised to meet each other half way and discuss your issues like mature adults. The extra income in the household seems to me like a great idea. Unless, you are the controlling type that wants a woman to completely depend on you for all her needs. Do you really think you are being fair by denying her outside activities or do you enjoy being in charge of another adult?

Come back to the 21st century and let her get a job. She has a right to 'whine' as you say it if you are keeping her cooped up in the house doing 'womans work'.

There are women who prefer to stay at home, do housework and take care of the kids (Like myself), but believe it or not, there are women who like to get a job and make an income as well.

There are also MEN who prefer to stay home and take care of the kids and clean house while the wife makes an income.

What do you do????? You better start prayin' to God that she doesn't up and leave and get a divorce!!!!!! That's what you do. House work is no longer just a womans job, mind you. And your wife has every right to go out and get a paying job, just as anyone else does. There is no reason she should even have to ask!!!!! Get out from under that rock you live under and I hope your wife finds a job that she enjoys!!!

What the **** are you talking about???
Reality check this is the 21st Century. There are no such things as a "man's job" or a "woman's job". Get over yourself! Think of this way, if your wife has a job then she will bring in a paycheck home as well. Therefore, bigger income and more luxury.

STOP BEING A DAMN CAVEMAN AND JOIN THE 21ST CENTURY BY LETTING YOUR WIFE GET A JOB!!!

Of course she is whining. We aren't living in the dark ages anymore. If you love her and care about her happiness, you need to realize that women today are perfectly capable of keeping a home and working outside the home. Don't you enjoy getting out of the house? She deserves the same privilege.

First off... you are a pig...

Secondly, this gives me the opportunity to tell a sexist joke which I found funny because my hubby loves me and doesn't care whether I work or not because I am my own person...

Why aren't women allowed to have drivers licenses?

Because there are no roads between the bedroom and the kitchen!

Maybe grow up and allow her to take on some responsibilities. There is no longer a thing like men's work or women's work. If you want a long lived or happy marriage, you might want to listen to her rather than attempt to control her.

Dude. THATS A WAY TO GET RESPECT FROM WOMEN. You probably have a job selling spark plugs at Auto Zone and watch A-Team reruns.

YOU ARE VERY WRONG MY FRIEND. SHE ALSO HAS THE NEED TO BE ALLOWED TO HAVE HER PERSONAL TIME BY HER SELF--YOU STAY HOME LET HER WORK & FRUSTRATE YOURSELF DOING HOUSE SHORES--BE A MAN AND FACE REALITY--OR ARE YOU INSECURE THAT SHE WILL SUCCEED & HAVE A BETTER JOB & BETTER PAY THAN YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW. OPEN YOUR EYES BRO A SECOND INCOME CAN GET YOU A BETTER LIFE --GOOD LUCK-- TALK TO HER ABOUT IT & WORK IT OUT WITH HER DO NOT JUST HAVE HER LOCKED UP. MY WIFE CAN NOT WORK FOR IMMIGRATION STATUS & MY INCOME IS NOT THAT GREAT I ALSO PAY CHILD SUPPORT & THAT IS NOT ENOUGH INCOME TO GET HER PAPERS BUT SOMEDAY I WILL. AND SHE WILL HELP ME WORK. GOOD LUCK--OPEN YOUR EYES.
