i got a email from lg electrics saying iv won how do i know its not a hoax

it says its from yahoo its a cash grant

Answer these questions
1. did I know they were having a contest or is this a surprise?
2. did I enter the contest?
3. how did they get my e-mail address.
4. Does it sound too good to be true?
I think from your answers to yourself you can figure out if it is a hoax or not.

Since the good sense test is inoperational, here are a couple of clues.
1. Did you recently purchase any sort of LG Electronics product where you might have conceivably entered a contest or drawing?
2. Did the e-mail actually originate from LG Electronics or a designated delegate?
3. Is there a phone number or other legitimate company contact information or anything about a contest on their website?

It's not a hoax. YOU HAVE WON. BUT BUT BUT - it's not free. You will have to jump through hundreds of hoops, and you still may not get what you won.
Best to just delete it. If you didn't try to win something - then they are the winners - not you.

If an email says you've got something for FREE, then it's a hoax.

Remember the old addage: "If it seems to good to be true it usually is." Where did they get your email address from? Have you entered any competitions recently? These are the questions you need to ask yourself?

if u didn't enter a competition i would say it,s a hoax mark it as spam then it will go in your bulk mail and just delete it
