Hypocrite. Second hand smoke has been proven to be as dangerous and, in some cases, more dangerous than smoking directly. Lung problems, cancer, heart disease are all linked to cigarettes. I had a grandfather, father, mother-in-law, and son-in-law all died of cancer from tobacco. Some was direct others indirect. Another grandfather died with emphysema and mother of heart problems aggravated by second hand smoke. So tell me about one advocating life and then having the audacity to smoke and spread death not only onto children but everyone else as well.

Two answers. The obvious one is she is uneducated about the harm that cigarette is really doing to her kids. Although they may not all be her kids. It's quite possible she is carpooling.
The other answer is more bizarre. It is not illegal in most states to smoke with kids in the car any more than it is illegal to feed your diabetic hubby sweet stuff you know he shouldn't have. You can't say that consciously she is trying to kill anyone, but..... well, you can't prosecute her for it.

Did she at least have them belted in? I don't think she thinks about it. I know that many people who smoke don't think about the consequences to others.
I have people giving me a thumbs down but I am not defending her. I am just asking because if you think about it, she could get pulled over and given a ticket for not having them in a seat belt and that is an instant consequence. Smoking around the kids isn't instant so many don't think about it. Sorry I offended people.
