Yeah 10 weeks would be too early. Determining the sex isn't usually done until somewhere between 16 and 20 weeks. This is what a baby would look like at 10 weeks

Weeks 16-22 depending on the doctor's usual practices, is when an ultrasound will be performed to determine the sex of the baby. NOT 10 weeks! Too early! The genitals are not developed at 10 weeks yet. Sounds like a lie to me!
Good luck! Tell him to take a health class, and kick his gf to the curb! Pregnancy is not something to lie about!!!!

This girl is lying. There is no way to tell gender on a 10 week ultrasound. On a fetus that young, the gentialia has not differentiated enough to be able to visualize it - boys and girls look the same at this point in pregnancy. Not until about 16 weeks is it very evident.
They can tell earlier, however it would be from other tests such as amniocentesis, not ultrasound.

I have three children and had many ultra sound due to medical problems and I never heard of any one being able to know what the sex of the baby is at 10 weeks. I found out at 17 and they were still not 100% sure most people find out at 20 weeks

Definitely lying, if she showed the US, look around the pic, it usually says the name of the woman, and aprox the weeks the baby is at. Usually the doc will not do an US on a woman and check for the sex earlier than 20 weeks. 10 Weeks and the 3rd trimester are really very far apart. A 10 week old fetus is hardly a head, body and some limbs...

The genitals aren't developed at week 10. 3rd trimester starts between week 12 and 13. To tell the sex they try around week 18 to 20. If she is preg then DNA test after baby is born will prove if he is the daddy. Good Luck!

yes, 10 weeks is too early. I think the earliest that they can tell is 16 weeks, but they usually check again at 20 weeks to be positive. Some of the 3D ultrasounds look like close-ups. So, the baby just may look bigger but is actually pretty small. If your friend has doubts, tell him to get a DNA test once the baby is born, but he will have to wait until the baby is born.
And like the person said before me check the date and the name at the top of the ultrasound picture. That way you can tell if it is actually her ultrasound.

I had an ultrasound at 10 weeks, you can't tell the sex. It is usually around 20 weeks that they are able to tell. At 10 weeks, I could see the heart beat, but I couldn't really tell which end was the head and which end was the butt. He needs to demand that she get a DNA test when the baby is done. He should also ask if he can go to the doctor's visits with her. If it is really his baby she should want him there.

properly, one threat exists, even though it somewhat is amazingly narrow. Say you have a woman (stretching it), who has a XXY genotype. If she have been to be waiting to reproduce as a woman, (maximum probably she would be infertile, yet purely for the heck of it), for the duration of meiosis she ought to create an egg with a X, XX, XY, or Y genotype. returned it is stretching it. yet while the male donated a sperm with a X genotype, and the female gave an egg with the Y chromosome, and it became into carried to term, then particular, the female would have desperate the intercourse of the toddler. incredibly extraordinary if it did take place however. P.S. whilst i'm guy or woman who believes in God, he ought to impact issues now and returned, yet i do no longer think of he's often determining the intercourse of a toddler. He set the device that works, purely like evolution. there is fairly some loopy ignorant christians available, so besides, it somewhat is my 2 bits.

They can tell the sex as early as 15 weeks, but not accurately. Most people find out the sex at their 20 week scan. 10 weeks is WAY too early.
