Why is he praised amongst many people?

WWECW is trying to push him like he's a new commodity, but most of the smarts know about his ROH and Indy background.
The guy brings alot more to the table than most of the other ECW grapplers. Many of them are simply a character who succeeds with brawling. Johnny Nitro was so lame they had to create "John Morrison" who really isn't that much better.
I really hope they either get more talent to ECW, or abosorb ECW into RAW or Smackdown. The active roster is so small all we get is the same matches over and over.

He is one of the best young wrestlers we have in WWE right now. He has the potential to be ECW World Champion and more. He performed and awesome match on this past ECW v.s. Johnny Nitro. That match i believe is one of the best we have seen this year. Now lets go to your question on why he is so praised among people. Well he is one of the greatest talents we have seen in years. The crowd likes him because almost all of his matches no matter against who are great. Cm Punk is the future of WWE no doubt. I really wish he could go to RAW. Well I hope that answers.

He's young and is really quick and strong in the ring. He has quite a few moves and is one of the only remaining quality wrestlers on ECW. He's got a really bright future -- I think the fact that he's so good at such a young age makes many fans compare him to Randy Orton.

to tell you the truth i think that he would be better on raw or smackdown cause he would have better competition than the few in ecw i like cm punk tho dont get me wrong

Perhaps he's not good anymore because he has to play by WWE's rules. Paul London probably doesn't look that good in WWE form because he's not allowed to look good. I knew that Punk going to WWE was a bad thing. Sure he gets exposure but now everyone who's never seen him work freely thinks he's crap. Which is why no one should watch WWE until Vince let's them work. But he likes big men so why would he care about talent.

he is one on the best wrestlers left on ecw.....i think he should come to raw ......he would be pushed better than he is on ecw
