To me, it means you are feeling guilty, or you think you neglected that person some how during life. It does NOT mean that you are going to snap and kill someone; just that you are grieving your loss, and perhaps feel guilt. Guilt does not necessarily mean that you think you are responsible for the death, but guilt for something said, something not done, etc. If you put the question to your subconscious, it may provide the answer.

The Psych- 101 answer is that you feel guilty in some in the death of this person, but without knowing the context of how and why you killed this person in your dream an advanced diagnosis isn't plausable.
