When you get a good book, where do you love to read it? In the house, coffeshops, parks...ANYWHERE! Please share, I hate reading in my bed, as it's usually uncomfortable because you have to hold the book up and my arms get tired...

Anywhere I can. I almost always have a book with me. But I prefer reading when I'm lying on my stomach. You just prop yourself up with your elbows, grab a book and lay there till you are done reading.

I agree with you about feeling uncomfortable reading in the bed, as I used to do that, having to hold the book up and my arms would feel tired real quickly. Plus, it isn’t good for our eyes.

For me, I’ll usually read in a café such as Starbucks, the one that is located inside the Borders bookstore or the café in Kinokuniya bookstore (in my country), as these cafés have the following atmosphere:

• It’s cosy, calm and quiet (at least not too noisy)

• The seat is comfortable

• The lighting which is not to dim / dark, as I don’t want to ruin my eyes

• Non-smoking section (because I don’t smoke & I find inhaling second-hand smoke very annoying)

• Whenever I feel hungry or thirsty, I don’t have to move elsewhere. Just stay put, and order some sandwiches or spaghetti and drinks! I can still continue reading without any interruption!

I have many places.... sometimes in my own room because thats the room where I do stuff alone, and to relax.( I sometimes get my arms tired when I hold the book for hours too!) Also in a cafe I really like,,,,BORDERS! =] I love it there.Borders is like a bookstore where you just tell the cashier what book you want and these other people only look the books you wanted...you just wait for like 2 or 3 mintutes and your books are ready to go! Every time I buy book(s), I just go to the other side of borders, which is a small cafe. (Borders is really big!) And there I just get a cappuichino to drink and sit down in a seat to read my book. I like that cafe because its actually peaceful to read books there for people who just bought books or something and then they just stop to get a little drink and read some of your book.
Another way, I like sitting out in outdoors. I read my book at the porch and relax like always! I just love to relax and get my stress away! I love outdoors and nature, so I go outside and read!.....
Lastly, I love to go to peaceful parks and read in the bench!
Its like the front porch. Its peaceful and relaxing!

Well I hope I have done enough for you and have a great day!
Good Luck on your question!

I like to sit on the floor of Barnes & Noble and read. For some reason, I'm not into sofas or beds. I also read on the swings, which annoys my friends, because they'll be trying to play a game and I'll be on the swing with a copy of Harry Potter. =)

And I know what you mean!! My arms get worn out, especially reading those heavier books!!

I like reading in bed, but if it's a really good book that I can't wait until bed time, I have a big comfy chair beside my living room window. Lamp on one side and the window on the other.

When the power goes out here, does a few times a year, I get out my old kerosene lamp at night and sit in my comfy chair reading. I try not to read anything scary, but there's no better time to read something like that.

I lounge in bed or prop up pillows to sit up, I sit at my desk, I sit outside on nice days...I don't mind holding my books up, but I'm insane about books...I could, honestly, sit there holding it up and flipping through the pages without reading, or I could sit there just holding it because I love books...they're rather comforting....lately, though, my good book place has been sitting at my desk because it's rather hot outside and my fan doesn't help the area in my dorm room where my bed is....sometimes I'll sit in an armchair down the hallway, but wherever I am, I prefer to be alone...other people make too much noise.

I usually like reading on my media center couch, which is right in front of the window so I can get the warmth of the sun. Also because no one ever goes in there. I love curling up with a good book! Hope I helped!

Definitely in the house. I often read in my armchair, or on my bed (not in it, I sit with my back to the wall on top of my bed and rest the book on my pillow). If I ever do read in bed, I always lie on my stomach so I don't have to hold it up above me. I guess I prefer my bed, because it's in my room, and there are no distractions there.

In a big comfy chair with pillows all around and a cozy quilt with a cup of darjeeling tea. The book must be a paperback so that I can fold the cover back. If I have a kitty nearby even better.

I cheat, I buy the audio version, put on my headphones and lay on the bed, the couch, the floor, drive my car, walk the dog, or anything else I can do with my portable player hanging on my side. If I must actually read, I sit in my recliner, book in my lap and lamp behind my left shoulder. Hope this helps.
