pretty much everybody watches tv more some artists come out with videos before they drop the single on the radio, i dont even listen to the radio ne more, only to listen to a game when im driving

Yes it did. But then MTV killed the video star with the Reality Star...
Last I checked it was still called Music Television... and don't get me started on M2 and so on...
VH1 is no better.

Maybe in the beginning. But there must be a reason why the video channels have to play movies, sitcoms and reality shows - and I think it's because it's a dying commodity.

No, the music video seems to have run its course - very few creative different music videos nowadays. Of course, I suppose we could say the same for popular music - very few original, creative performers.
