Why impose a punishment. I myself would NOT wear socks if I were wearing snadals. BUT I WOULD be justified if I did. I have really bad toe nails. They look like CHIT. Really, they do. So why would you want to impose a punishment on me? Maybe, and this is maybe they also have something going on with their toenails too and don't want people to see them. I know mine would gross you out. So a more direct answer to your question, NO PUNISHMENT.
