I can see no reason for a misspelled word here. The "Check Spelling" box is available to all and should be used every time you post.

That said, English is a wild language to use and I do accept that. A sentence started with, "Eye wood bee" is something I can live with because a spell checker won't catch it but a sentence started with "I wud de" has been written by someone with no grasp of the language and too lazy to use a single mouse click. That someone should be studying English composition, not asking what color shoes to wear with a party dress.

So, like many answers I submit, it depends on what has actually happened. It isn't difficult to determine a persons level of education when you read something they have written.

BTW, THiS soRt Of NoNSeNSE iS a waSTe oF mY TimE. I don't even try to read them.

And yes I know, Yahoo Answers itself is generally a waste of time.

I don't hold it against them outwardly, but I do notice and find it irritating. after all, theres a spell check button RIGHT THERE! And I don't like the texting type - like wud instead of what, etc. There is a whole generation of illiterates being created. I especially find it ironic when a person is ranting about immigrants not speaking english - and they can't even spell. Who's worse, the person who struggles to learn a 2nd language, or the person who has no clue about his own.

I usually just figure out what they're trying to say and answer the question. But if it's really confusing because of the spelling and grammar I'll say something like "I can't even understand what you're asking"

No, I am not mean. I just answer the question if I understand it and if i don't then i just ignore it. No sense of being mean to someone maybe it was just a mistake. Nobody is perfect. And you are not an asshole.

No, because I'm one of thoes people (once in a while) who can't spell, even if I do use "spell check"

well i would never call you names. it depends on if the question is ignorant or not. one question asked if russian women or american women were "stupider". i replied "it's stupid genius" . i did that because it was ignorant. sometimes a person words something really weird and i cant figure out what they're saying so i'll just put "what???" and hope they rephrase it.

I'm only mean if there's a million screw ups. You only had a grammatical error... It isn't "their", it's "they're". You're not an asshole.
