was loose and well somthing is loose it is not the muffler so I know that is out it seems to be a small pipe coming out from where the big pipe that goes to my tires it is not affecting the way my car drives or handles but I am not sure exactly what it is I went Out of town yesterday and went through a lot of construction areas where the road was a mess and alot of pop holes could that have knocked anything loose my car is a 1989 ford tempo and I love my car any help would be appreciated . also will this be expensive thank you so much Ps I know that it has to attach to somthing because it kinda has a little key hole on it thankz again

What i am thinking after reading your question is maybe two things to look for. A loose exhaust pipe/clamp or a lose catalytic converter.

check ur exhaust by going the pot holes could have loosen the tail pipe or what attaches to ur converter plz look where the noise is coming from and have some one that you can trust
beside a garage men. as well make sure ur transmission plate
is well tight as well

Could be an anti-sway bar or other part of the suspension. Get it looked at immediately. Don't make me worry about you. It probably does not cost much to fix.

Well, I can't see it from here, so take it to your mechanic, point to it and see if it's a problem.
