They make mistakes sometimes.

When I was moving from Fort Myers to Destin Fl,

I had choose a specific apartment that I wanted, first floor, near the pool. And put a deposit down for it and set a move in date.

A couple of weeks before moving, I called the Apartment Complex to find out how they handled mailing address's.

I told them my apartment #, I was then told, my apartment had opened early, so they were going to rent it to someone elese, and give me another apartment.

The other apartment was on the 3rd floor at the back of the complex.

I said no way, I paid a deposit on that specific apartment, so thats the apartment I want.

And thats what happened, they had to leave that unit oprn, untill I moved in.

So I wouldn't worry, but if you are worried, just call them.

Until they fail to deliver there is not a whole lot you can do other than call then and verify that you are still on for a Sept 1st move in.

I am puzzled though since apartments are pretty much by definition 2 or more units how you can be sure that they are posting your unit as available.

Maybe it is a mistake. Call them and remind them that you have already put down a deposit for the apartment and expect to move in on Sept. 1. Have you signed a lease for it already? If not, now would be the time to do it.
