Hovercraft are a new category of unit that became available with the Core Contingency Expansion pack. Hovercraft are light and fast on land or water, but not very manueverable or heavily armoured. With the pack installed, you have available a Construction HoverCraft, a scout, antiair, transport, heavy rocket (MERL), and a Hovertank, all built from a Hovercraft Plant. The Hovercraft Plant is built by all of the Level 1 Construction units except the commander, and is considered Level 2 technology.

Fun to get around with.. technology for large passenger crafts is outdated and with no spare parts available are put out of service.. for small craft use-full in certain areas ..
Making accurate depth charts on very shallow waters near to beaches are one of the sectors where they are still used very frequently in Europe.
