Find someone who can remove the piece and determine if there has been damage.

The description you provided is not like anything that would be found underneath a car.

Hope this helps.

It could be something you picked up off of the road or it could be an important part of the suspension or steering. I would get it to a shop without further delay.

I cannot determine what it is from your description.

Skid plat has detached. Take it to a place with a lift and have it fixed.

the best thing to do is take it to the shop. you may have picked up something or something has broken. without more info.,it's hard to say what it could be.

JUST TAKE IT TO ANY SHOP AND LET THEM PUT IT ON A LIFT FOR YOU. IT HAS TO BE SOME TYPE OF SHIELD OR GUARD.
