I don't know. How do you define "mystical?" I have had lots of experiences that might be described that way by some, and not so by others. For example, there have been times in my life where I felt despair and all alone. I prayed, and I suddenly felt uplifted like someone was with me. I have had times when I had problems that there appeared to be no answer to, and I prayed, and the answer suddenly came to me out of nowhere. One time I was sitting on a couch alone and felt very down. I prayed for support, and could have sworn I felt someone sit next to me. No one was there, but I immediately felt alright. One time I saw a shooting star in a moment of great grief that brought me comfort. I felt uplifted and my sorrow went away.
Coincidence? Psychology? Chemical imbalance? Delusions of grandeur? God? You be the judge, but it has happened to me so many times that it is difficult for me to slough it off as just an illusion. Whenever I have been most in need, I have prayed, and I have never been disappointed. Is that a mystical experience? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But it is good enough for me.

Many! Many indeed! I've been changed in every way. Of course it changed my belief system -- indeed has changed my entire way of life. I was inspired to read Oahspe, which is not for everyone by the way. it changed the way I think, the way I live.
To begin with my mother had died of lieukemia. I had been sent to the local Catholic church to learn and memorize under the nuns. I played hookey sometimes. I attended sometimes. I grew up. I sent for a book perportedly automatically written by the hands of a dentist over 100 years ago. I read its some 900 pages. I read it again. I read it several times. I let its wisdom change my actions, change my thinking. I was changed much by it. I know people all over the planet who would say the same. We have a web site. I observe them as the most discriminating, the most well meaning, the nicest people in the world.

I've had a couple. Neither one was concrete proof, and the potential for them being mere coincidences was high. But the circumstances are compelling.
1: I was walking home at night from somewhere, lost in thought. I kind of drifted onto the topic of whether or not God existed, so I just kind of said in my head "Okay, if you exist, give me a sign." Immediately a bright blue meteor streaked overhead, disappearing over the horizon. Not minutes later, not seconds--immediately after I had finished the thought.
2: In 2004, the first Sunday of Advent, I was sitting in church listening to a sermon that basically said how God will never answer a prayer that doesn't serve to glorify him. At the time, my then-fiancee's mother was in the hospital in a coma, where she had been for the past three months. I thought to myself "Okay God, I'll test that theory. I'll make you a deal. If you grant this prayer and heal her mother, I will in turn remember this specific date and event and repeat this story to all who are willing to listen. That way I get what I'm praying for, and you get the glory." The next day she awoke from her coma. I can't say for sure it wasn't just a coincidence, but as I am a man of my word I kept my end of the bargain.

i once had a dream where I got a trigonometry textbook for Christmas. when i woke up the next day, i found out that my school schedule had my with trig right after lunch. dint change me much, because im a severe nerd and would have liked a new trig textbook =( the bad part was that i had already read the one the school gave us.

Hi Truith and all Truth-seekers and finders,
What do you mean by mystical ? Strange? Magical? Profound? Inspiring? Soul aware? Psychic powers? Illuminating? God-conscious?
Yes, now age 68 physically, and age 30-plus Eternal Spirit Born, and still being transformed, I could share 20 or more of them. The two most important to me are in 1976 when I was suddenly given, (as an agnostic sincerely seeking more Absolute Reality) a "WOW ! I am just like me !" -- perfect identity duplication as soul and fully as me --and more.
That sudden soul and beginning spirit experience led me to seek for more unified Reality in Spirit, mind, and matter. (science and math well-trained up to then) Reading many spiritual books, bibles, philosophies, science books about 6hrs/day for the next year caused nothing profound, as far as I then knew; but I was persistent in seeking more Truth - Reality.
May 24, AD1977, in a closing prayer circle with six other humans,(progressive Jesusonians who are to some degree kindred-minds with me) I was suddenly given the Sacred Vision of God and Jesus as two perfect bright lights,side-by-side and coming down upon me. As these two lights came down, they were very bright but did not hurt my eyes; I could also see them with my eyes open or closed !-- and this very strange experience did not upset me at all ! (Why was I not shocked ?? Just very curious and interested !)
When the oO two elliptic lights came close to my face and touched together ...

instantly I am taken in spirit-soul union into God and Jesus as One Infinite Spirit of ALL TRUTH ...infinite PERSONALITY, LOVE, POWER, LIGHT...more ...Wave after Wave of Sacred Holy Spirit multicolored Glory-Luminosity ... all ineffable - beyond human words to describe...wordless perfect FATHER-SON Coordinate-Cooperative - Communion-Communication ...Paradise-God final destiny experience in our Creator Son Jesus Christ ... much more ...ever continuing to be Revealed ..slowly and all in perfect "God-speed".
It was somewhat hard on "my (old) mind" to realize coming back to earth for a few years in one sense;but that God-conscious "I am a son of I AM" experience gave me perfect Spirit and soul peace. I continued with my life here ALSO --normal wife,children, family, friends and business relations --but now I am "on fire - in Fire" and "Burning" to share some of God's love and Presence in Jesus with others in many ways.
Thus, for over 30 years to date, my heart's desire - avocation has been, IS , and will Be the living and sharing of/in Truth with all others who might benefit from same. Yes, Jesus, fully here in Spirit, (see John 16:7-16) Teaches us that too much Light is blinding; so let your light and life so shine to better attract more into My (Jesus') Light of Life Eternal.
