Its probably because your back yard doesnt appeal to you. We used to have a pool and it was a pleasure to maintain the backyard. Now we have a homemade pond/swamp and I cant stand going in the back. Its too icky. Same with the house. If you have lots of junk and iky stuff around, you wont like maintaining it. Our basement was a disorganized mess because my parents used it as a dumping ground. I cleaned and organized all the creepy things, and now its a bit more pleasant to clean.

I'm in agreeance with Granny. I love yardwork, any kind pretty much. But I hate bathrooms more than anything.

Everything! I hate doing dishes, cleaning toilets and bathtubs, sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, vacuuming, and cooking. Pretty much I hate to do anything domestic. However, I am married with two children so I have to so thanks for giving me a place to vent. As for yard work, it's the one thing I don't mind doing.
You do realize that you are asking a bunch of garden nerds about disliking yard work, right?

Don't mind the work around the house, yard work. I HATE the work IN the house. Yilk! Yilk!
Dishes and dusting and wall cleaning..........Oh forget it, I hate all of it.! I HATE HOUSEWORK!
