where i live we can go to our local animal shelter and they will loan us one free of charge. they are humane traps so the animal won't be hurt, but some states require that a professional is called to do it, in some states the law says if you trap a wild animal yourself you can be brought up on charges of animal cruelty. so check before you do it.

We rent traps from the local feed mill. You can also c heck with your local DNR offices. They may loan traps to you if you have animals that have been a local nuisance.

If you plan to catch and release back into a different area, the wildlife control people will loan them to you.

If not, I would contact the local co-op or feed/seed store. Or somplace like Tractor Supply. Any place that sells equipment for farm use should have them.
