Hello, I was wondering when everyone here started to wear maternity clothes. I am 11w 5d and already can't button my jeans! I am a overweight so my jeans were already snug but never unfomfortable. Now, I can button them but it hurts my stomach so I leave them unbottoned. I was wondering if anyone else was around this early when they started to wear maternity clothes. I feel that I am not that far along to start wearing them already but if my jeans are already to snug and hurt to button... maybe I am. Thanks! :)

If your pants are tight, you can unbutton them and use a rubber band type hairtie to keep them from falling down.
Also, you can use what is called a Bella Band. They keep your pants in place when regular are tight but maternity are too big.
They are usually over $24 in stores, but you can find them on ebay for ALOT less.

I don't remember exactly when I started wearing the maternity clothes, but here is a trick I learned from my sister. When your jeans are getting too tight, take a rubber band and loop it through the button hole and onto the button. That way you can wear the jeans for a little while longer before you go to the maternity clothes. But if you already have the clothes, it won't hurt to start wearing them whenever you want. Being pregnant can be uncomfortable enough you shouldn't have to worry about your pants being too tight.

Even some women who are very skinny begin to wear maternity clothes early on. It just depends on how tight a person likes to wear her clothes pre-pregnancy and how she is carrying the baby. Some women don't need maternity clothes until the late seventh month. Others the very beginning.

I started to wear maternity clothes right away. It's part of my plan to be so fed up with my maternity wardrobe that I am not tempted to keep them around after I don't need them anymore.

I became uncomfortable last week and I'm only 9 weeks. I've bought a few small maternity clothes. I'm so much more comfortable now! :o)

I started around my 15th week. I am average height and weight. Every pregnancy is different though.

Some women start wearing them earlier than you are and others can wait later than me. I knew a woman who hardly showed until she was 7 months along. It all boils down to body type, pregnancy, and height.

Look here at photos of women in different stages of pregnancy. Some hardly show, while others show VERY well.

Get some of those maternity pants that look norma but have the huge stretchy circle for your tummy. They grow with you! I've seen them at Target. Good luck and congrats!!!!

You buy the maternity clothes when you need them, and it sounds to me like you need them. Who care when everyone else bought them. Now is the time! Congrats!
