Kaylen. For a baby girl.
What do you think? I'm hesitant.
Does it sound sturdy or sweet?
Hard to grow up with or nice but interesting?
Old fashioned sounding or trendy or neither?
All input is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm thinking about Rebecca for a middle name if we do choose Kaylen as the first. What do you think?
Thanks for all the input!

Kaylen is really nice, it sounds similar to Kaitlyn but has more qualities. Its pretty and sophisticated. I would normallly advise against the name Rebecca but Kaylen Rebecca is so pretty you've just gotta love it! Good luck and great name choice by the way.

Kaylen is all right. I'm not a huge fan of it. It would be a fine name if it were a friends child, but I don't think I'd be happy if it were a family member's child. Though it seems like a name that would grow on me, ya know? I'd also have to hear the middle name, does it flow? I can't think of many names that would flow with Kaylen. I don't think it would be hard to grow up with, there's no real name to make fun of it. I don't think it's old fashioned or trendy, the spelling may be, because a lot of girls now have 'y' in their name they've been spelling Kaitlin Kaitlyn and Lauren Lauryn things like that, but you sorta need to the y in there as it's Kaylen. I did notice a problem with the spelling as I just did it, the len, I spelled lin, so you may have a problem with people misspelling her name. I have that problem being a Nicole with a nickname of Nikki.
Edit-
Now that I've heard the middle name, I personally thing Rebecca Kaylen flows better than Kaylen Rebecca.

I really like Kaylen. It sounds very sweet, but not too sweet, which is good. I don't think it would be hard to grow up with at all. It's not too common and it's not hard to pronounce or spell. It's a little bit old fashioned mixed with trendiness. It reminds me of Katie (which is a little old fashioned) and Kayla (which is kinda trendy). So basically, I think it's a great name! I also like it because you could spell it so many different ways, Kaylyn, Kaylynn, Kalen, Kailin, and Kaylin. All I would change is the middle name. I'm not too big on Rebecca. I would try Kaylen Rose, Kaylen Marie, Kaylen Louise, Kaylen Grace, Kaylen Danae (Danae was the princess of Argos in ancient Greece), or Kaylen Brianne (bree-ahn). But if you like Rebecca, stick with it, I'm just not a huge fan.

I hope I could help!

I'm not much of a fan of those names either. But you can't change someone's opinion. Do you want someone trying to change your mind? This is why I always think it is a good idea to never tell the names until the baby is born. Then, nobody will complain. Some people like different names. I personally don't like a lot of the real common ones. It's a matter of taste and when you have a baby the decision will be all yours too! You're still going to love that little girl or boy no matter what!!

I like it. I have a friend with a daughter named Kaylin. To answer your questions, I think it's both a "sturdy" and sweet name, it's interesting, and it's neither trendy nor old-fashioned, it's just a nice name. Also, I think it sounds great w/the middle name Rebecca.

Kaylen is perfectly suitable for a child and an adult. It sounds sweet and not hard to grow up with. A wee bit trendy but not as much as Kaylee/Kayleigh/Kylee

Strange name? I have to disagree. Kaylen is a beautiful name. I have a 4 year old named Kalyn Jade. She is a sweet yet strong child. It suits her well. I think it is a good choice. However I am bias. :)

After I answered the first part I looked at it again. I think it is quite interesting what you have chosen as a middle name. My friend who completely reminds me of my daughter Kalyn in many, many ways - her name is Rebecca. I still agree it is a nice choice.

I love it! Kaylen Rebecca sounds great. I think it's a very sweet instresting name. Although it might be a tad trendy sounding, the name itself isn't trendy.

I love that name I think it is very soft, feminine, and tasteful. I think it would fit a little girl and would still be a great name for a successful adult woman. I think it sounds more modern than old fashioned~~~a nice spin of an older name. I think the name is one that is modern yet not strange and unique but not unheard of.

I know one Kaylen she is gorgeous, very successful in school, a cheerleader, a successful collage cheerleader and student, popular, very outgoing, friendly and a well rounded girl! Her name fits every bit of that!
