I don't know if I need 2 or 3 year warrenty for a college bound laptop. Also they have several options about warrenty type, what should I get/ do I need?

Get the longest warranty you can afford. Believe me, it will pay for itself if something goes wrong because you will get parts/labor for free.

well most people go for the warranty that typically comes with the laptop, just try to see what you think it could go through, and then decide from there.

You definitely want accidental damage coverage. It will pay off if you carry your computer around a lot.
