Welcome to the club. And don't listen to these people who tell you to leave. They're just as unhappy, but don't have the courage to say it!

I don't blame you! And having the availability to eat three squares, and having a roof over your head, and being warm/cool as the weather dictates, and having free TV and HD and videos and IPhones and MP3's and free education, and beautiful roads and freedom to travel as you wish and to have a voice in your government and beautiful beaches and parks and woodlands and no terrorist attacks and clothes to buy and 100 stores to do shopping in one mall alone and Internet access and the best medical care in the whole, wide world and absolute freedom to practice the religion of your choice. Yeah, I don't blame you. What a dump we live in - right? Wake up young man, the tax on a steroid-ridden hitter's baseball is minor. Want an answer to that? Don't sell the darn thing! In most other countries you wouldn't have a chance to keep it, never mind sell it. Gas at 3 bucks? What an outrage! But, look at what the West Europeans pay - 5-6-7 dollars a gallon! Yeah, let's go there! Hey, when you get ready to leave, like to North Korea or some other resort area, please let me know - I'll show up and give you a cheeseburger for the ride. Because that'll be the last good meal of your life!

PS: Bring a sleeping bag - pretty cold sleeping with the pigs. Oh, and also, leave your cell at home - you won't have any use for it.

Marry me
You'll live in Europe and travel and work wherever you want, (= work where they pay you a lot and shop from where the prices are low )
If you speak Korean , you can always work for a Korean company on a high wage.
My passport was something like 30$, the renewal charge is 10$( I had to pay 10$ to the US embassy for a single question)
Gasoline is expensive, but many people use the public transport, besides, Europe is smaller then the US as a territory.
Food is good ( the percentage of fat people is much lower than in the US)
The economy is improving, and the predictions are to get better than the US.

The U.S. is going through some historical changes on the world scene. Globalization, free trade, the "war on terror", immigration, the need for change in forms of energy, diversity, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even disputes about our Constitution and language.

We are in the beginnings of a new approach to life in the U.S. and the world. These changes are costing a lot of lives, money, and social upheaval. Our government and "we the people" have many challenges facing us. It will likely not be a smooth transition because there is no handbook on how this should be done. There are likely to be mistakes made and, frankly, I think we haven't seen the worst of it. I don't even understand the goal to be achieved by all of this.

I find myself pining for the old days, and they were only a few short years ago, when the U.S. citizens had some idea of our place in society and our sovereignty was never in question. With that said, I still love my country and would never leave Her.

If you don't like they way this country is ran then you have 3 options.
1. vote on election day
2. run yourself
3. move
Seriously, every country will have their issues. I'm not saying that the United Sates is the best country in the world and should set the example. However, after 15 years in the Army I can say it's a lot better than why other people have it. For example you can say that you hate the government.
Downside to my 15 years is that my self and fellow Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Sailors have to go off to defend your right to piss an moan about the country and the blanket of freedom the military provides.

I for one would donate $100 to get you a one way ticket to china as long as you stay there the rest of your miserable life, you will see what a good country we got.Yes I agree there is some problems, but we as americans need to address them in a civil manner,by the way we vote and speak out against whats wrong in a polite way.By the way anyone else willing to donate money to make this person happy? I am serious get out if you don't like it here, but i gurantee you will love it when your gone.Good Luck,in your future.

There's a lot to hate about the U.S. government, but most of it is the result of arrogant, incompetent, corrupt politicians.
There's also a lot to love about America, and that's where you can make a difference! Get involved! Years ago one little old black lady refused to give up her seat on an Alabama bus, and that one little protest mushroomed into a nationwide movement that eventually outlawed segregation, racial inequality, and discrimination.
America needs "new blood", fresh ideas, bold concepts. You - yes, YOU, all by your lonesome - can be more productive by involving yourself in the process of change than you can be sitting back and bitc*ing about it. -RKO- 08/09/07

I agree with the "work to change it" answer. The US people have failed the US government. We elect GWB, we elect a Republican congress, we re-elect GWB, our country gets screwed, and we still cannot elect a 2/3 Democratic majority in the Congress. We are failing ourselves. WE decide who runs the government, even though we have done a pretty S***TY job of using our power.

I obviously agree with your hating of the US government, because I hate the people who are in it. If we elect some smarter people, we should be alright in about 20 years, after we have tried to undo most of the CONservativeS mistakes.

tgbc: I think he is complaining about low gas prices. He understands that unless they get higher, we will never cut our addiction and leave the Middle East alone (let's solve our own problems first).
