1) It doesn't matter how long he was in her. There is sperm in precum as well.
2) Why did she stop the pill? Anyway, those aren't the hormone pills--they are either sugar pills or iron pills, depending on the brand. The last week is ALWAYS the week where she would be getting her period.
3) Chances are she's just fine. She just needs to keep taking the pill, regardless of what she fears, and talking to a doctor may not be a bad diea. I think getting to know the pills a little better would help her out.

It isn't likely your best friend will become pregnant, but it is possible. The only thing to do is to tell her to continue to take birth control (unless she would want to keep this baby - then she needs to stop taking it because it can cause birth defects) and wait to see if she gets her period. If she does, she is most likely not pregnant. If however, she misses her period - the next step is a pregnancy test. If she receives a positive result - then you know and make your decisions from there. If she gets a negative result, you may need to retest in a week or so if she still hasn't gotten her period. Look for signs of pregnancy - swollen sore breasts, frequent urination, fatigue, nausea, headache, moody, etc. On a different note - are these two even considering the risk of sexually transmitted diseases???? They sound awfully uneducated in the areas of sex & the consequences to be actually engaging in the act. I suggest all of you get some more information - your parents, YahooAnswers, the library, family doctor, school counselor, etc...There are answers out there - education is key in all aspects of your life. I am encouraged that you started here, by asking this question - that is the responsible behavior of someone mature enough to handle sex - but it should have been asked BEFORE you got into the situation. Enough lecture....sorry....don't want to see anything bad happen to you guys. Good luck.

I wouldn't worry about it. I am sure your friend will be fine. Even if by some freak chance, she was pregnant, there are always options. Also, I realize these people have the best of intentions telling your friend (and everybody else on this forum) not to have sex. However, I am a realist and most people are going to have sex. It's been happening since time began, and it's not going to stop suddenly now. Just be careful and take precautions. Here is something to think about though (I like biostatistics): Even with the failure rate of the pill being very low, if a woman takes it all through her active reproductive years (and has sex quite often), she will still experience 4 unplanned pregnancies. this is assuming perfect use of the pill. So you see, even with the best of precautions, sometimes accidents happen. People need to realize this. I have been on bc pill for 15 years. I have had one unplanned pregnancy so far, and again, that was with perfect use of my pill. I had to terminate the pregnancy due to health reasons, but I didnt beat myself up over an accident. They happen. ***sigh**** if you cannot even spell the word ABSTINENCE, please do not suggest it to others. Instead, go home and learn how to spell.

If he entered her at all, there is a slight chance. The pill takes a month to be effective and whether or not she was in the mood has no effect on pregnancy. If he didn't ejaculate (finish) there is still a few sperm that are released in the drop or two of moister that comes out early. It is not likely that she will turn up pregnant from this, but it is a possibility. If being pregnant right now is just not the way to go, she could see her doctor RIGHT AWAY for a 'morning after' pill. It stops the egg from attaching.

well, i hate to tell you this, but even if it was only two minutes, any unprotected sex holds risk for pregnancy. being dry really doesn't protect you from getting pregnant either. being on birth control is usually good protection, but only if you take it everyday, all the time. the good news is, depending on how long ago they had sex, there is the morning after pill. i think it has to be taken within 72 hours of having sex. you can ask the pharmacist about it. also, if he did not ejaculate in her, the chances are pretty good that she will not get pregnant. tell your friends to calm down, and get to the pharmacy and see about the morning after pill. I believe it is also called Plan B. Hope that helped.

It doesn't matter how long she was on it before if she stopped taking it then there is a chance to get pregnant she would have to be back on it for at least a week or to be safe two for the pill to work again, not 2 days. And even though he didn't *** inside her there is def. still a chance to get pregnant (that happened to me). I don't think there is too much to worry about though in this situation, but there is nothing to do but wait and see. Good Luck for your friends!

Quite frankly, it sounds like your sex education is based on old wives' tales. I don't know what 'valves' you are referring to, but you can get pregnant whether you are in the mood or not. If she has only been on the pill for less than one cycle, she is not fully portected, and the pill does not stop the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. You can get pregnant even if you have never had sex before. Your friend should get to her doctor for some real facts, not rumours.

Being "in the mood" has nothing to do with your chances of getting pregnant...and there are no "valves" involved in the reproductive system...so again that has nothing to do with her chances of getting pregnant. However, if she was on the pill, the likelihood of her getting pregnant are pretty slim.
For future reference, while withdrawing before ejaculation significantly reduces the chance of impregnating a woman, it is no guarantee, because there is always a little semen on the head of the penis once it is erect.
I hope things work out for them.

There is no magic number for time it takes for someone to get pregnant. If his penis enters her vagina there is a chance. Men do no just ejaculate at the end they do it a little during. If she has not been on the pill for more than a month than she could get pregnant. Bad news for them. Tell her to keep an eye out and get a test if she is late. Also if you can't support a child you have no business being so careless

It sounds like your friends are pretty young. Please tell them that they should be using condoms if they think they MUST do it. Pills alone these days is very dangerous. There are so many diseases they could catch. To answer your question though, yes she could be pregnanat. It doesn't take even 2 minutes. A condom would have protected them from a lot of worries!
