I'm a jewelry seller. I'm an advisor for Lia Sophia and my managers are making more than $100,000 a year. I can't even book a party. The jewelry is so nice too, I just don't have family who would book a party because I've already gone through them all. Who do I go to now?

Ask friends or friends of friends, or place an ad in your local newspaper.

For a start I would see who the managers of your company go to. Is it possible to ask advice from them how to start out, they can't have always made so much money. You could try leafleting people and local businesses. Often for these kind of things you need to spend some money to get some back - you need something to draw people to a party other than the jewelery. Is there anyway you could set up an event with drinks and nibbles, that would encourage people to go, and then have a little show of the merchandise/power point presentation? Big companies have staff evenings, where they pay for their staff to go along to events: my friend dragged me to one in a LUSH shop, where you got a bag of goodies at the end just for coming, and they gave a demonstration of the product. I think you would need some kind of literature/booklet that people could take away with them, as people don't like to feel pressured, although discounts are a good incentive. Have you tried advertising in shops e.g. bridal ones, showing suitable jewelery in pictures, offering a discount to certain customers.....

All the best.
