i heard that you start to starve your mind of sleep and you will then hullicinate. is there any truth to this.

I don't know about the 'starving your mind' part. But studies have been done in sleep deprivation that indicate a possibility of hallucinations. Certainly a tired mind is not going to be able to sort information very well- which is why members of the armed forces have to undergo special training so they can continue operating under such conditions.

Yes, that may be true for some people. If I stay up for one whole day, I will just laugh hysterically at everything that happens. If I stay up for two days, I start to get very crabby, and laugh at everything for no reason. I have not tried to stay up for three days straight though. It must do bad things to your mind.

Yeah, it's totally true. I stayed up for about 30 hours once and I hallucinated that I fell asleep.

Yep....I tend to laugh histerically after about 2 nights. Your mind needs rest!! Without rest your mind goes crazy and makes you think you are seeing what really isnt there!!
