LOL, uh....ummmmm, well, gee, errrrrr, they're liars, and live in fantasy. They will try and block truth, to cover their mistakes. Sometimes I wonder why Republicans ever give them the time of day, except to keep them from programming our youngsters. Liberals are so (whats a kinder word for stupid?)....uneducated, and want to be taken care of, very much like a (what's a nicer word for hoe?)...prostitute, by her John, rather than work outside of a bedroom, and earn their livelihoods legitimately, and honorably, so therefore are easily manipulated and controlled.
Smaller party that Republicans are still, to the death, if we must, will not allow Liberals to change the greastest Nation to ever live into a Nation that dies, because of Socialism.

This is just silly. However, I will say that Americans in general villify the Iraqi government for not getting the job done. In reality, they are attempting to legislate away an entire history of conflict. If we told our government to sit down and solve our difficulties with abortion rights, gun control and immigration policy immediately this would not be realistic. Why is it realistic for them and somehow irresponsible when they are unable to achieve such goals? I understand the stakes are high and that we are losing American lives all the time. I believe this is a tragedy. However, I think we need to be more realistic when it comes to the type of progress they are going to be able to make. This being said, the summer vacation doesn't exactly sit well with me.

Do the Democrats ever look back at the early days of the US & how much we argued & how many years it took us to get a Constitution? The nay sayers should listen to Michael Medved's tape on the time leading up to the revolution. Then they need to look at the French revolution.
We do forget how hard it was to create this government/country we have.

Neither party's progress has been the same - both have failed miserably in many areas. That's the problem with a two party system - neither represents a majority of people that subscribe to it, and neither can do anything without the cooperation of the other. It's an extension of the phrase, "two wrongs don't make a right". So, I choose not to choose the lesser of two evils, because choosing evil is wrong.
We could easily cut the pursestrings of many people who hate us by choosing to turn off the grid of power we're hooked up to, but it won't happen due to our inability to properly react to stimulus as a country.
Instead, we throw money at problems, drawing them out and coping with them instead of solving them. We, as a society, feel entitled to what we have, and choose to continue consuming resources, individuality, ideas, even art - look at the recording industry's grip on creativity...
We pay people hideously large sums of money to write new laws, and small sums of change to pretend to enforce them sporadically. Separate is inherently inequal, but somehow we ask what race people are for benefits, like there is a difference...
The phrase, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" even has a flaw - an establishment has inherent quality of being something that is established - something generally recognized by people. That carries inherent respect.
SUM: Be an individual, and assert your ideas, even if I disagree with them. Respect individuals, and their differences, and embrace both you and what isn't you. Be at peace with the thought of others being different, and at peace that your solution in life works for YOU. Maybe not them...

Their progress has been the same because the president veto's evry bill they send to him. He is not allowing any change, he wants to "stay the course" so we can end up being in Iraq for decades to come. The longer we are there the more money he and Cheney can make off the no bid contracts to rebuild a country we tore apart.

Not sure what you are talking about, but I can tell you that I do not pay for the democratic agenda with my tax dollars and american lives, like I pay for the Iraqis...how can you NOT hold these people to any type of standards, and promote endless war that does not benefit us, and only drains our resources? Aren't you scared of how vulnerable we are to another attack, now that we are bogged down trying to do everything for the Iraqis ?

Child healthcare
Fisa extension
Student Loan rates
ethics reform
minimum wage
stem cell research
when did the Iraqis pass all this legislation? I must have missed it. Tell the president to put down his veto pen and we will pass even more.

THAT'S TYPICAL OF THE DEMOCRATS IN THIS COUNTRY. THEY ARE ALSO VERY AFRAID OF WHAT THE REPORT OF GENERAL PETREUS WILL REVEAL ABOUT PROGRESS IN IRAQ. THEY ALSO FAIL TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAS TRANSPIRED IN IRAQ IN THE PAST & THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST LEARNING ABOUT FREEDOM & IT'S RESPONSIBILITIES. IT TOOK MANY YEARS FOR OUR OWN COUNTRY TO PUT IN PLACE THE CURRENT SYSTEM THAT WE KNOW HAVE.
