My computer was working fine yesterday, until i moved it into another room in the house. I unplugged the electricity before it could shut down, but i dont know if that has anything to do with it. But when i turn on my computer, it says no sata hard drive to boot up from and then asks me what to do, "safe mode, safe mode networking, safe mode with command prompt, last good configuration, start windows normally." I tried all the options but it just loops me back to the part where it says no hard drive to boot from. I also see a flash of a blue screen of death for a second but cant read what's on it. I cant start up my computer. Please help me!

Put the XP CD in the drive and boot to the recovery console. Run a chkdsk /r from there. It should fix it. If not, unseat and then reseat the hard drive.

Probably and most often, something has come loose..
I would open the case and make sure all cards and cables are securly connected then restart the pc....this can happen when a system is moved and in some systems with AGP video cards this can happen cause AGP cards and boards dont seem to like each other and can pop out enough to cause an error...With tis issued I'd check the harddrive cables at both ends....

Good luck

If it were mine I would try F2 setup and see if the hard drive is recognized. If it is I would try safe mode. I am haveing the same problem [sorta]. I need to learn how to do F2 setup. If anyone reads this ,,,tell me how to do F2. I didn't mean to use this space for my own, but I'm here. What the heck,,,sorry.

TRY GETTING TO SAFE MODE AGAIN UNPLUG AND REPLUG. THEN GO TO ACCESSORIES AND RESTORE. THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN RESTORE IT TO A DATE WHEN THE COMPUTER WAS WORKING. IT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. ALSO, CHECK TO MAKE SURE ALL YOU WIRE ARE ON AND EVERYTHING IS PLUGGED IN. THE MONITOR WIRE TOO. IF ALL THIS FAILS, YOU WILL HAVE TO GET THE ORIGINAL PROGRAM DISC AND REINSTALL THE PROGRAM. THIS WILL SOLVE THE STARTUP PROBLEM.. OR GO TO ANOTHER COMPUTER AND LOOK UP PROBLEM SOLUTIONS AT MICROSOFT.COM-TECH ISSUES FOR HELP.
