Waking up in the morning. Knowing I don't have to get up till I'm ready, and don't have to go to work. Pottering into the garden to say "Hello World". Having time for breakfast. Playing Answers while the First Mate paints in the studio below. Having time for lunch. Visits from dear friends. Having time to chat. Pottering into the garden to make sure the day is doing well. Whatever turns up after that. And dinner with the First Mate, with whatever follows. And so to bed. AND - thoughts of my son and daughter, and grandchildren, and the sound of them bursting through the front door when they come, and cantering up the stairs to find me while I pretend I didn't know they were there ... and so it goes. Including chatting to my various medicos regularly, as I'm very fond of all of them, too, and I'm sure I get special attention because my own daughter is a prominent medico herself. Ah the joy of a smooth anchorage after stormy seas!

The blessing that I am able to wake up in the morning, wrap my arms around a wonderful man and enjoy a cup of coffee with my husband, kiss my children before going to work, arrive at work safely, have a great day with my patients, get home safely after work, make dinner and laugh together as a family, watch a little TV, ride my bike and go back to bed with the man I love.
That ALL fills my heart with JOY!!

My little boy and a very special someone, who I love with all my heart. Just having the two of them in my life right now, and spending time with them each day fills my heart with an abundance of joy.

So many things and people fill my heart with JOY. My mom and my aunt who I can always talk to about anything. My Pastor and his wife who are so kind. My Savior who fills me with endless and real true joy. My cousin who is away at college and more like a brother. My cousins wife who could wake the dead with her charm. My uncle who is a little cooky but extremely intelligent. A really close friend I have, named Peter who I have deemed a gentle Giant. My little sister who is brilliant yet humble and is forever expressing it. My church family as a whole. No matter how out of place I feel they are always there to greet me with Hugs and Kisses. My Paw paw who is as eccentric as they come. And my Grandmother who is in Heaven and I just pray I am worthy enough to see her again. Last but not least my Step dad who passed away when I was only 11 but who took care of myself and my mom as though we were royalty.
