deepends on the state you live in. some states see belongings and money as dividable, and you may get alimony or child support if their are children involved.

Some states don't recognize common law marriages anymore, no matter how long you have cohabited with the person. But no you don't have to get a divorce. There weren't ever any papers filed.

Not that I am aware of, I believe you need to put an article in the local paper claiming that you are no longer together nor responsible for the others bills and leave it ther for a certain number of days. Also whoever moves out get a change of address
