Very true for me.. I only regret the thing I didnt do but had the chance to do..There are NO regrets in my life on the things that I have already done. And just about most things I have already done, I would do again if I had the chance..

Unless you get severly hurt or have something negative (and life changing) happen, people don't regret their lives too strongly. That's because they "survived" whatever they did.

But things you didn't do--that's different. You have NO idea how that would have affected your life.

For example, I didn't play football because I thought I was going to hurt my knees + I had promise in other sports. Then, I didn't grow any more, and blew out my knee anyhow. So, maybe I could have gotten a scholarship in football or something. Wouldn't THAT have changed my life? Yup. And I have no idea how different I'd be now.

I only have a couple regrets for things I didn't do. I wanted to be a bartender, but never was. There are places I wanted to live while I was free to live anywhere, but never moved there. And that football one.

But I haven't done anything to regret, because those things made me who I am today.

I never really thought about this before, but yes that does seem like a correct theory. I guess it is wanting to sample all that life has to offer, and not wanting to miss anything along the way...and yes it seems it does hold true for me.

I regret NOT doing things more - I don't mind too much, if I thought about something, made a decision & went for it, even if I ultimately got it wrong.

But if I took my eye off the ball & didn't act - that's the worst !

I don't mind so much if people see me do something & look like an idiot. But if I don't act, I just blend into the landscape.

Yes and it holds true for me which is why if I think I should do something then I go for it. Tomorrow isn't promised to us and I don't want to be an old woman saying, "What if" or "Maybe I should have."

I believe that, your theory is true in so many ways. Humans, (which most of us are LOL) learn better from mistakes that we have previosly made. People seem to reget that they didn't do something while they had to chance, like tell some one that they cared or took control over something before it got bigger. That is just my opinion.

Yeah. I know I regret lots of things that I didn't do and now I'm left with; if only or I should have.

Yes, you can always learn from your mistakes but you will always wonder if you don't give yourself the chance. Taking a chance is worth the risk Many miracles and blessings come when we take a leap of faith and put our fears to the side.
