Keep your skin moisturized. I'm 30 weeks and have none, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed =)

stretchmarks are usually something that is hereditary.
But it helps to rub oily creams to soften the skin and keep it from being so dry and itchy as it stretches. But elasticity is a genetic thing ie..if your mom has them, you probably will too. also, excessive weight gain during pregancy can cause more stretch marks. They do fade from red to white though as the years pass on. Happy Baby!

You cant stop them but rubbing in any lotion will make the skin feel smoother and nicer. Its a good way of bonding with baby too. I found palmers cocoa butter good as it rubs in well and if they get itchy rub ice into them and that will soothe them.

hehehe...don't know any woman who wants to maintain her stretchmarks!
But what you are doing is all you can do to TRY to avoid them. Some people are just more likely to have, hehehe, streachmarks. Its genetic.

I assume you mean avoid, not maintain, stretch marks. Shea butter is suppposed to help. Vitamin E.
