okay here's the thing.. it so happens that i have to work 12-8 on my friend's surprise party.. i could call out and all but then i would be missing out on 65 dollars plus tips.. or i could go to this surprise party where all my friends i havent seen from the summer will be there.. its a pool party too so it should be more fun.. also me and my boyfriend have been together for a while and nobody in my grade thought we would last through the summer.. well i kinda wanna show us off and prove to them that we did last.. i really don't know what to do.. help me out pleaase!

These kinds of situations suck huh? That's a toughy. Well why not just work half a day and then go to the party if that would be allowable? Then you could have the best of BOTH options. I think though, that if I did not have a HISTORY of calling off or what not... then one day shouldn't be so bad. Go to your party, have some memories (take your camera!!!), and try to make up for your lost time later on. This is just one of probably thousands of situations and decisions you'll have to make on your journey to BECOME! Do it right and good luck to you.

well see if u can change ur schedule if so work then go but if u cant change it i would go to the party have a lil fun b4 school starts sure ull miss 65 dollars but u need to have a lil somthing to treat urself to

You only live once. If you found out you were going to die tomorrow, would you be more likely to wish you hadn't missed work, or the party?

i would say go to the party. remember it wont happen again, besides she/he is ur friend. the $65 and tip ull earn it anyway
