You also need to get a certain amount of BEST ANSWER in a certain category.
Don't sweat too much about getting a TC badge. It will come. You need to answer a lot in ONE category more so than others.

You have to have at least 10% best answer in one paticular catagory. You can have up to three catagories you are top contributer in. Yahoo Answers doesn't share the exact point system of how they determine who is a top contributer but if they see you are involved and answer 10% of the answers in a paticular catagory correctly they will give you a top contributer title.

trust me you don't want to, all my top contributor accounts have been deleted...the stalkers come out in full force...and it's difficult to hold onto, it makes you fearful of answering too many questions and not getting enuff best answers.

I am with you. We are both on level 6. Shouldn't we have gotten the damn badge by now. I mean people who are on level 3 have them.
