Hinske's wife delivered there first child either yesterday or Tuesday.His grandmother also passed away.Due to his wife very complicated pregnancy/delivery, Eric will be away from the team until this weekends series against the Orioles.That's why Brandon Moss got the call up from Pawtucket.

No he went home because his wife was due to have their baby... usually guys do that kind of thing when their baby is going to be born. Other than maybe some labor problems, I have heard nothing.

I think his wife was pregnant, and she lost the baby. There's a reason they don't release that info though.
