Before we knew Iraq was a mistake, there was a significant outcry against Cheney, Bush, blood for oil, Haliburton, etc.

You'd have to be a complete moron not to recognize these rants were all about "anti-capatilism". So, if liberals own the 3 primary parts of governemt, will they legislate to outlaw certain capitalist practices, to make them a crime? What's the fiirst target?

Wouldn't put it past them. It seems in a democratic/liberal government private businesses are terrible. Also, there would be no encouragement to take any initiative to better yourself. So sad. This nation was founded on hard work and sacrifice. Now we are just a bunch of lazy SOBs

I've a better idea. We don't make up some new 'law' concerning capitalism. We enforce the ones we already have on the books.

The idea we need a new law for anything is only thought of by complete morons. When the hate crimes laws were enacted there were already laws on the books against every action that is considered a hate crime. Murder, assault, and all the rest were already punishable offences. Why did we need a 'new' law?

Everything you deem as being a crime of capitalism is already punishable by fines and imprisonment IF proven in a court of law.

And what capitalist practices would you like to see outlawed that aren't illegal all ready? You probably work for a capitalist. *BG*Should working for a capitalist be considered an act of being an accessory to a capitalist crime?

No. But when laws set to regulate capitalism are violated, the perpetrators should be punished.
"outlaw certain capitalist practices" like not allowing unions or a living wage for the very people who make capitalists rich.
"outlaw certain capitalist practices" like Universal Health Care, and strengthening Social Secirity, instead of abandoning it.
We can only hope liberals and neocons will heed the people's voice and do what is right for Americans, not just capitalists

You were a "special needs" student, weren't you? Capitalism in itself isn't bad, it's a wonderful thing. Unfettered Capitalism is not a good thing though. The largest businesses consume the smaller ones until there is not enough competition in the industry to aviod price-fixing and overcharging. Giving companies like Haliburton a monopoly on government contracts is anti-competetive and quite frankly an agregious waste of taxpayer money.
I'm all for Capitalism, but without regulation, it will eat itself.

False analogy.

The uproar over Halliburton's exclusive no-bid contracts influenced by Cheney have nothing to do with any supposed "anti-capitalist" sentiment. You have to be a complete moron to think that anyone who criticizes Halliburton gaining an unfair advantage and profiteering off such hates capitalism.

Certain practices like trading with nations that abuse human rights, using low wage/bordeline slave labor, polluting the enviornment to maximize profits, starting wars to sell products, selling unsafe and even dangerous products, and bribing congressmen to look the other way should be stopped

The other parts, if you can find any, no

what a heap of trash. America has existed for less that 250 years, yet we run circles around nations that have been around for thousands of year. free markets and limited government have made us the great nation and people we are. why would you want to throw it all away? in America, everyone has the opportunity to be great.
oh and excuse me but were else in the world do the poor poor miserable poor have microwaves, refrigerators, cars, big screen TVs, air conditioning. our "poor" people have it better than you think.

No, you'd have to be a complete moron to somehow come to the conclusion that these complaints were about capitalism in general. Nothing wrong with capitalism. What's wrong is when it's abused and when it leads to a pointless war.

No, of course not! It should be allowed but the gov't should keep an eye out for it to protect the employees of such enterprise from oppression and abuse.

I love Capitalism.....some rich guy gives me money because I do a simple task for him. I do it well enough for him to allow me to have profit sharing too! Liberals are just tired of their McJobs....that's the only thing I can get off of what they cry about in here.
