In searching google, "first federal bank" (with quotes) came up with 167,000 hits. I have never heard of First Federal Bank, but I am not a banking expert.
If I was traveling the country, I would setup an account with a bank that has branches and ATMs all over the country. If you ask them, they will be more than happy to tell you.
I have an account at Bank of America for this purpose. They have ATMS and branches all over the country.
I also have a credit union account. As defined by the Credit Union National Association: "A credit union is a cooperative financial institution, owned and controlled by the people who use its services. These people are members. Credit unions serve groups that share something in common, such as where they work, live, or go to church. Credit unions are not-for-profit, and exist to provide a safe, convenient place for members to save money and to get loans at reasonable rates."
I often find that Credit Unions offer better rates, and smaller fees than regular banks. Part of this, I believe, is that they are not in the business for a profit. They are in business to serve their members, who are also their owners. They are fully insured, as are banks. I live in NY, so things like banking, and credit unions are highly regulated, to protect the consumer. Some states do not have as high regard for the consumer, so they do not regulate banking institutions, or credit unions as much as NY does.
You might have to do some research. I have listed a couple of websites below, one from Bank of America, which has branches all over the country, and from the Credit Union National Association, which can help you look into the option of Credit Unions as an alternative to banks.
