I just watched the Red Neck Games in Texas well the highlightes of them anyway. I swear every man was in over alls and every woman should of been in a house coat and curlers. I live in Florida my husband is a native of Louisiana and no one in his family looks anything like what they show on television. I find it the same after a hurricane they find the worst trailer park with the most toothless woman and choose to interview them. Believe me from a person who has grown up in the North and is currently living in the South it is nothing like that. Anyway, just my personal input. However I do have to say both my hubby and his brothers ride 4 wheelers, hunt, fish and own 4X4's. But so do half of the guys in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. What are your thoughts? Have you been to both places? Or just seen it on Red Neck TV?

I'm a redneck and i'm nothing like what they view us to be.
Most people see rednecks as uneducated white farmers from the south. But okay maybe way back in the day like you said a 100yrs ago but everyone must go to school these days and learn life in todays society!!

We are also viewed as narrow and prejudiced people... but um look at being a redneck like being in a religion not all chritians, baptists, catholics, muslims, etc... are pure they all believe MOST of the same things but each person is different.

i'm a red neck but i also love heels, jewelry, make up and the works but man i do love MUD and 4 wheelers and eating watermelons from the neighbor at night ... haha he still doesn't know its me stealing all his watermelons :-)

I love the south, unfortunately the idiotic side of the south gets too much airtime and that allows others to associate the entire region with these toothless hicks, thus explaining New Orleans and why no one gave a **** and continues not to give a ****. (wake up people, New Orleans is still in peril)
