Cry. I never used to and would stuff away my feelings which led to me becoming very resentful eventually among other things. Resentment led me to anger which led me to control issues and now I see that I couldn't even identify how I was feeling after years of doing this amongst other things.
I don't care what others think of me today, that's their opinion and we're all entitled to our own, my feelings are just that, MINE and now I can identify how I am feeling and do what I need to look after myself.
I strongly suggest that if you want to cry then cry and let it go or this could and most likely would lead to some deep resentments or other issues and I've spent half of my life realilzing this and now am working on feeling however it is I feel and acting accordingly. It's just like with anger, is it alright to be angry? I believe so but it's how I choose to deal with that anger that matters.

I am a 46 year old mixed breed Irish-Jewish-Hispanic.

I tend to think I have already cried all or most of the tears I had in me for nine lifetimes. But I did cry the other day earlier this week, after an awful row with my girlfriend. At this time I am going through a divorce and experiencing PSTD. Also, I've known for years I have ADHD, but recently I was diagnosed with Asberger's.

So to sum up your question, I tend to hold it in.

I don't usually get sad so I don't cry. The only time I cry is when I am in pain I can't stand. Like after my liver transplant.

It depends on the situation, sometimes you need to just cry it out and you can feel a lot better. I don't believe in holding things in b/c thats the way to an early grave!!!

I cry! I am very sensitive and I cry a lot. My boyfriend always thinks that I am a big baby but things affect me and that is the way I express myself.

Sometimes I feel too sad to cry. That's what it feels like. I want to cry, but I just can't.

Hold it in, but it's awful. I wish I could rather cry...

I once literally got a spasm in my throat from holding in. I don't recommend it!

I hold it in if I'm around people, but when I'm by myself I let it out. Sometimes it feels so much better to release it then find something to do to make me feel better.
