Late '50's, early '60's, you were a "frat" or a "greaser". At least in the Detroit and suburbs area.

Well, it was like the mid 80's so think big hair for the girls and short spiked hair for the guys mostly.. the preppy look was like totally popular back then (it was expected to have your collar flipped up all the way, no exceptions) and so were tight jeans, none of this "half way down your butt" look. Totally tubular!

Since I didn't have as much money as some of the kids at school I rocked the t-shirt, long hair and jeans look. I think it was pretty preppy at the time - LaCoste shirts, etc.

well i'm a senior in high school now and the looks is very preppy. Waist belts, colorful sneakers, flat shoes, and skinny jeans.
