ok so ive been singing for a long time but i have to give that up.
so im going on to acting, im very confident with whatever im doing and acting has so far been my passion as well as singing.
is there any way i could become famous?
i dont care about the money i rather throw it in the trash, i just want my dream to come true because i want to show the world by talent and have tons of fans that would support me.

Well yeah the first thing you need to do is get an agent, and yes like what the other girl said it is a very competetive world. What you really need to do is find an agent that is SAG or AFTRA franchised they help you get big roles. Leo Dicaprio didnt start acting until 13 and noone really knew who he was until his role on " Catch me if you can" and The Titanic" it took him 7 years to get famous to where everyone knew him. Its just a matter of marketing your self. Dont ever turn down a role in commercials or movies, even if you dont like them.It will take a while for you to get famous, until your bigbreak. Ohh this is what im doing, first im trying to star on disney channel where everyone is wacthing, try to get on the hit sitcoms or such and such, then I moved on to big budget films.

You can be an actor without an agent, local theatre, student films etc! If you want to make the big $$$$ and be an actor, yes you need an Agent, only because they know when and where. If you submit to an Agent without anything on your resume, chances are it will be in the trash. Unless, you are so specific to what they need at the time that you submit, that they call you in for a reading with them. If they call you in for a reading, don't blow it. Know how to cold read have a couple of monologues ready and some improvisation. For example if you are 18-25 caucasion with blonde hair, they could have 100 young men who look just like you, so on your resume something needs to POP that is different from the 100 that they have. The belief that an agent is the key to becoming famous is a myth that is rampant on these pages. There is a way to become famous and that is to discover what you are very very good at and do that as much as you can whereever you can as well as you can over and over and over and chances are someone will recognize your ability and start spreading the word. Talent + hard work + perseverence + luck = fame.

You should set Goals. (Being famous is not one)
Maybe your next goal can be:
1. Find an Agent
2. Audition for a Tv show
Things Like that. Maybe you will be on TV one day and be famous.

The acting field is extremely competitive. You will need to find an agent who believes in you. Also, sometimes there are open calls for auditions.
