that means there has to be a god , right? Why else would he make us the smartest on earth and aware of it if there wasnt? Or if you believe in evolution how did we become so smart compared to other animals since you claim we come from them?

We developed the cerebral cortex which added to our primitive limbic system of our brains. The rational and logical thinking parts of our brain put us above lower life forms...this occurred around 100,000 years ago.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

Evolution picks the strongest, fastest, smartest, and lets the rest die out. Compared to most other animals, humans are not very strong, or fast, so our species evolved smarts to not get eaten. Other critters didn't get smarter cause they didn't need to, evolution only fills the gaps. Having a big brain like ours is a pain in the butt, it helps us figure things out and stay out of most physical harm, but look at a human woman giving birth compared to most animals. Most animals can give birth by themselves with little trouble, birth for a human almost kills the mother and she almost always needs help cause of our big ole heads. So if we came from some "intelligent design" then the engineer stinks.
Also, anybody who says that animal live in harmony or peacefully doesn't know anything about animals. Animals fight and kill each other all the time. They fight and die over the only things that matter to them, food and sex.

Even if humans are the smartest creatures on Earth, how does that mean that there has to be a God?
.
Your logic states that, because humans are the smartest, there has to be a God. That implies that if humans were not the smartest, then there does not have to be a God. But if dolphins (for example) were proven smarter than humans, would that mean that our God does not exist, but some Dolphin deity does?
The answer to the question of whether God exists or not cannot be derived from logical reasoning. It's purely a matter of faith.

Evolution is a process that makes you adapt to help you survive. That is why the size of the human brain has increased with time. Just because we came from animals, it doesn't mean our brain will stay the same size. The whole point of evolving is to become more smart and more adapting to our surroundings. I personally don't understand why people choose to believe in certain scientific facts, yet even though evolution has been proved, they deny it to be true.

Some humans are so ignorant they are like animals. They just don't appear to know the difference between good and evil.(but they actually do) Animals however evolve in response to nature and can never have knowledge of good or evil just intelligence that allows them to know how to live. We respond to God through inner peace to evolve our minds so that we can become less flawed and wiser.
All the problems in the world are a result of people's ignorance to what good and evil actually are. They either do not know how to become peaceful or knowledgeable, refuse to , or find it difficult.
It depends on the person certain people have more intelligence than others. Whilst some can calculate pie -the number others are still using physical violence like animals when people annoy them. I think our intellect may be better than animals however they have emotions and thoughts just like us.
intelligence is necessary but without wisdom it is not directed
to do constructive things. Both are necessary for humans whilst animals only have intellect.
The only difference between us and the animal kingdom is that we have consciences and the ability to gain knowledge that allows us to do good.

As of this moment, I would say because some of us
made it possible to utilize these computers and sit
and talk like this to others all over the world--and utilize
other things like Penicillin , AntiBiotics , Telescopes,
Radar , Jet Planes , Electricity , the Telephone ,
Television ,Apple Strudel ,Peanut Butter and other goodies
I agree that we should thank God because that's
what my Christian parents taught me to believe but I can't
help being tolerant of people I have met all over the
world including the Native Americans from whom
we stole this beautiful land ---who have different
beliefs---it will all come together nicely some day
I believe in happy endings in life as well as movies.
I suggest that we extend the assumption of smartest
to the "Universe" as well ---tho I would welcome any
smarter beings from out there to arrive in saucers
or whatever and answer the question in the song :
" Is this all there is ? "
Until then,I guess we'll have to keep right on dancing !

If God made us, why make our brains 90% bigger than we need it to be.
Hey did god make pit bulls? no, he didn't.
god didn't make them! Mankind through the power of selective breeding (evolution) did it.
No matter how many times they say evolution doesn't exist they never see the truth in front of them.
Now let’s say the pit-bulls and the two dogs that make up pit-bulls (the terrier and bulldog) were fossilized.
Would you find that the missing link between the terrier and bulldog?
Would anyone see that these two dogs contributed to the evolution of the bit-bull?
No, you know why, because you don’t want to see it. It doesn’t follow your agenda.
But you see the more you deny the truth the more your religion and its views become in-valid.
Yes it does, because logic before religion should ALWAYS come first.
Hey, its ok your Bible messed up... time to move on.
Look I know more than anyone that you’re afraid to question the existence of a God… who wouldn’t.
I wish I could go back and be ignorant about everything I learned.
But it’s time to grow up a little, there is so much more to the meaning of life than to worship a God.

An accident of history. Intelligence is a trait that can be exploited just like speed, or camoflage, or flight. If things had gone differently, perhaps another species would have ended up developing self-awareness, and then they'd be wondering why they're so special and why their God made them so smart.

Hi
What makes you think we're the "smartest" creatures on earth.
Name another species that:-
Goes to war with its own kind just for the purpose of being right.
Murders it's own kind for some sort of sadistic pleasure.
Systematically destroys the environment and world it needs for survival.
You call that being smart?
