My favorite books as a child were The Boxcar Children books. I read every one, but the first was always my favorite. I also loved the Berenstein Bears.
In early childhood, I read a lot of Dr. Seuss. "Green Eggs and Ham" was the first book I ever read completely. :)
And, in my teenage years, my favorite book is "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray and the Harry Potter books.

My mom read stories from Uncle Author's Bedtime Stories which she had gotten as a bonus when she bought a set of Encyclopedias. Nearly every story had a moral or biblical lesson. I began to read them on my own at about age 10. When she asked what items me or my sister may want when she passed away the 5 book set of Uncle Author's Bedtime Stories was the first thing I thought of. 8:)
