When everyone knows that the solutions in Iraq are political?
The Sunnis have left the Iraqi government and the remnants of the attempted Iraqi government have gone on vacation for the month of August while our troops die for them. If this is progress, this war will never end.

Not one of you have responded to the fact that the Iraqi government basically doesn't exist anymore.
Wishing something to be true will not make it true.

Dave,
This country walked over 3rd world countries, like Iraq, in a matter of days during WWII. You people
who continue to accept incompetence, are the defeatist. How can there be a political solution in Iraq, when there is not government in Iraq?

Hey bypass,
Stop hiding behind the troops and deal with the facts. There can be no victory in Iraq without a political solution, FACT. The Sunnis have left the Iraqi government, so there is no Iraqi government, Fact. What remains of the Iraqi government has gone on vacation during the month of August, not because they don't understand the repercussions of that action, but because they are attempting to conceal the FACT that there is not viable government in Iraq, FACT.

I cant wait for General Patraeus' Sepember report to congress of the progress in Iraq.
I know that wont make the defeatists like yourself give up trying to convince people all is lost, but it might deflate your tired old mantra a little bit.
EDIT: There is government in Iraq, and some people think that because they arent physically in the same room at the same time that there is no work being done, just like people hollering over GWB on vacation like he does no "President stuff" while he is out of the White House. And so what if the Sunnis quit? These Arabic people tend to be way overdramatic like you Libs are. They will come back.

Bad news for Harry Reid and fellow 'cheering for a loss in Iraq' democrats, the troop surge looks like it is having a positive effect on the ground in Iraq. Even worse news for democrats, the American public looks like it's supporting the surge, too. That's a double whammy for democrats because at least if it was working and the public didn't support the strategy, they could just do what they normally do and lie about it. However, spineless democrats roll with the polls, so if the polls support the surge, you can bet that eventually democrats will, too. The only unpredictable thing with democrats is what ridiculous complaint will they come up with next?

Your thinking is mixed up. Wars are where people kill each other and blow things up. Politics is where people get voted in then steal from their constituents. There is no comparison.
You think the Iraq war will stop if Parliament meets and passes a law? The people doing the fighting are Al Qaeda muslim crazies. They don't care about Parliament.

Progress is being made in Iraq and Afghanistan. Just because they don't report to you directly does not mean that the ball has stoped moving. Look at the whole picture compare the status from 2 years ago to now.

wah, wah, wah...all you stinkin' libs ever do is whine, *****, moan, and complain...try paying attention to the people actually doing the job over there, like general petreus for example, instead of al franken...i mean, even the ny times reported, albeit begrudgingly, that the troop surge is showing good signs of progress...so...just shut up...and go play with your prius will ya...

The mainstream media hasn't dug up bad news on our troops so it must be going well.
If was going bad you bet it would be page 1.
However, the reports coming back positive even liberal senators that have come back with positive reports.
So the game is a foot to spin it like it was the democrats credit things are now going well.
