1. the supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe; the object of worship in monotheistic religions
2. deity: any supernatural being worshiped as controlling some part of the world or some aspect of life or who is the personification of a force
3. a man of such superior qualities that he seems like a deity to other people; "he was a god among men"
4. idol: a material effigy that is worshiped; "thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image"; "money was his god"

Wouldn't be to sure that God is a he!!!!

In my opinion the word God is hard to translate.

How can I explain?? I am not a christian, I am not a muslim or for that fact any religion you can name..... I do not believe in a 'God' as many do. I do not believe we are the 'chosen ones', I believe when you die the lights are switched off - however, you do live on within the body of your young and their young, so on and on.

I do not believe in the devil.

However, I do believe in the power of nature, I believe it will still be here after we are all dust, and pardon me for being possibly rude (I do not mean to demean anyones beliefs), and all the man made gods have been long forgotten.

Mine is probably mother nature - because I can see most of it, it is all around me - us, if it wasn't we wouldn't be here to have written the bible etc etc. I do not believe any gods would come and help if mother nature decided she had had enough!!

What I'm possibly trying to say is God or Gods, are what you make them or what you believe them to be.

Sorry if I went on a bit.

(does this make me a hippy?? hehehe!!!)

Well we all know he's an Englishman, in fact all significant biblical locations and events can be mapped onto England's topography ( i won't go into details here but Robert Rankin has proved this in his brentford triangle series), brentford being the garden of Eden.
Back to god, bath has been suggested for his long term location , but i think Cambridge is far more likely, with possible brief holidays to the Cornish coasts.... or so the theory goes. But there can be no certainty in these matters.

Nowhere.

God was invented by the first ancient law makers to scare people in to abiding by the early construction of a set of laws.

We no longer need a god - we have police and governments

God is the creator of all life. Once everyone has died he will bring us back to life and we will either go to hell or heaven. This is based on weather we obeyed his rules-the Quran- or not.
Where is he? he is everywhere
Also God isnt a he or a she everyone just says he because it seems more likely for a man to rule and be all powerful.

God doesn't exist. He was created by Man to try to help people who are afraid of dying.

The idea being that if you think that you go to a better place when you die and it's run by this almighty being then you won't be as afraid of death.

Its all cods wallop but it took my wife dying for me to realize it.

Look inside you. In your heart. God is omnipresent and omnipotent. He is in you, in me, in all creatures. God is the space in which everything exists.
Try to realise this and you will know. The answer has to come from within.
