and umm the guy who said pools... can you elaborate cause i don't quite get it.
and i though trigo involves right angles?

when building a house u need to know trig to calculate how long bits of wood in a triangle need to be.
trig isnt all about right angles that is only 1 part of trig.
u can use it 2 calculate unknown angles or lengths of sides in non right angle triangles.
it can be used in circles as well so another application can be navigating with a compass as degrees and radians are another part of trig.

Trigonometry is used a lot in physics stuff like navigation and predictions of say military apps where they want to drop a bomb or crash land a plane safely Also used extensively in architecture and mechanics and engineering

My friend builds conservatories among other things for a living and uses a piece of hardware called an "angle finder" which does what it says on the tin. But alternatively he could use trigonometry.

Suppose you're a person who counts the height of everything.
If you're calculate the heights of empire state building, how?
Use trigonometry!
Find the angle, and distance between you and the building, and you got the heights.
There are many similiar application...
